Haha. Well, after a night of constant twists and turns, the deafening process from a silent handphone, a call in the morning, a thousand apologies, and a long awaited day out, all that starts well, ends well.
My head's getting all dizzy with me staring at the computer screen with one eye lacking 400 degrees. My long-ago-expired contact lens finally died leaving behind a red imprint on my left eye. Therefore, i had to extract whats left from it and now im left with a contact lens only on one eye - my right eye. The words in your mind right now might be along the lines of
But yeah, careless me has misplaced my specs somewhere around this 5room flat of mine and neither i nor my whole family could locate it for the past 2 weeks. Its a mystery that perhaps only Sherlock Holmes can solve. OK lame~ So my point is: Will someone sponsor me to get new contact lenses? hehehe.
As you can see, im in a rather good mood (if you set aside my frustrations at the stupid spyware which slows down my computer by a bazillion times and the fact that im worrying about something).
I umm.. "took a leave" from school today, and spent the entire day (which means 730am to 630pm) with the other half, something we've not done for a long long while since JC started. The first half of the day out was spent surveying iPod stuff, hockey stuff and talking whilst the second half was spent completing our homeworks as well as studying. A day very well spent, i must add. Worth getting detention (if). heh.
Note to self:
A man needs his:
- space.
- gadgetry.
- rest/sleep.
Remember the time not long ago where i mentioned that i lost my EzLink on a busride, only to find it on the way home as i boarded the same bus? History repeats itself! haha!
So me and the other half took 51 to proceed to Funan the ITmall to take a look at his iPod stuff. 5 seconds after i got off the bus, i fumbled my pockets, feeling for my brother's EzLink (i lost mine remember?), only to find it missing. I almost died on the spot. If i had lost my brother's card, that would mean another 24 bucks flying away. The other half had that "Oh God you're so hopeless" look on his face. Cant blame him. 2 cards in a week? God, NO!
As we were still in our patching-up stage, i made light of the situation, and shoved my worries and frustrations aside. We planned, that after getting what we wanted from Funan and Penin, i would proceed to Hougang to retrieve the EzLink while he would proceed to Westcoast Park to complete his tons of hw. I would then rejoin him, hopefully with my brother's EzLink safely in my pocket once again.
So after walking around the whole of Penin and Funan, we decided to stop and have our lunch at burgerking. It was there that the other half suggested i call Hougang Interchange instead of actually going there, so my trip wont be a wasted trip if the EzLink was not found. and so i did, thankfully. The stupid ezlink wasnt there.
With a rather heavy heart, knowing that i would have to starve for one more week, i proceeded with the other half to the busstop heading towards WestCoast Park. Whilst waiting for the bus, the other half remarked
I laughed and replied
Then, surprisingly, as if to prove me wrong, a singledecked 51 arrived. I boarded it, my hopes hitched a tad higher. We looked around. It was the same bus! Like OMG! Hopes higher. But bleah, an old man was sitting at where we were sitting on the way to Funan. So i patiently wait for him to alight, my nails bitten to half its size.
He got up. I scrambled to the seat, the eyes of the other commuters on me. THERE! The Ezlink nestled between the seat and the floor, my brother's face proudly beaming back at me. I made a slight giggle and a huge sigh of relief and hopped back to my seat, my face holding a megawatt smile, much to the amusement of the other commuters (who were now staring openly), as well as an embarrassed other half.
Oh and i just love it when you call me just to ask how i am and tell me how much you care. heh. Goodnight blogders.
