Huarghahaha. I met the other half at outram, so that he can collect his spoilt ps2 at a shop located at Chinatown. Buh! And to think he used it for less then a month and that it was first hand. Total cost of repairs = $70.
Anyway, it was my first trip to Chinatown-ish areas, so i was kinda amazed by the sights and sounds. It was so cheena! The red cloths draped at the railings, mandarin characters pasted everwhere, shops selling Ginseng etc, old nonyas and apeks talking loudly amongst themselves... I felt kinda out of place in my tudung.
Then as usual we went to Esplanade's library, where i got myself a couple of Plays to read. Was contemplating on grabbing some DvDs sitting enticingly on the shelves, but decided against it as i'm tight on time.
There were some really nice sculptures by Botero on display. All his artworks were of people/animals who are.. lets put it as horizontally-challenged. It was kinda cute lah. Like teddy bears waiting to be hugged. Awww.
I particulaly liked the sculpture entitled "horse" (1999) which was placed near the pubs. So cute! Im still drawing up a plan on how to bring it home with me so that i can ride on it in my dreams. Weaahoo!
After the trip to the library, we actually intended to sit at West Coast Park's McCafe to chat, but decided against it since it was going to rain. So we then did an impromptu decision to play bowling at Chevrons.
BIG mistake.
I made a total fool out of myself boohoo. I managed to score a pathetic measly 31 points, and that too, with the help of a strike by the other half. So horrible!! Its like the kiddo who was in the next lane even managed to get 60plus (i peeped at his score) Haiyo!! It was like..
roll roll roll... GUTTER BALL!
"I shall not give up!"
roll roll roll... GUTTER BALL!
"That was pure bad luck!"
roll roll roll... 1 pin down!
"Yay! Getting better!"
roll roll roll... GUTTER BALL!
"You play for me!!"
He roll roll roll... STRIKE!
"*******!!!"
He did not bad, scoring 117 on the first game and 134 on the second. Pooh! I didnt play a second game as i would be wasting money then with all the gutter balls. Bleargh.
So after seeing that i was hopeless in bowling, we decided to play pool. Lalala.. Guess what? It was another case of big mistake.
Actually not that big ah, since i did manage to get a few balls in. hehe. The first game sucked, but the second was not bad. No surprises he won me again. Bleargh. But once again im feeling addicted to pool, and i really wanna practice more. So i guess the next time i go out with the other half, it would be at Bukit Timah, where there are hordes of pool tables. Weahoo!
Im supposed to accompany my brothers to collect their bursary tomorrow morning at 1030am. Bleargh. It means having to wake up early. Damnations.
The mother has opened another shop for her Traditional Malay medicine (Jamu). Im supposed to be all happy, yeah, i do thank God for the rezeki but i really dread helping out at the shop, which i now have to some weekends.
Sigh. I hate facing makciks makciks who are like so freaking kpo. Then the shop also cause my mom to spend less time at home. Buh. Yeah it does bring in money.. but.. Donolah.. Its like everytime she comes home tired, she nags and nags and nags about the tiniest little things. Can't blame her though.
Ok then im gonna watch soccer, Singapore Vs Indonesia. So far so good, the score being 2-0 respectively. Weahoo!
Go Lions Roaaarrrrr!!
